Run a Quick Repair for Microsoft Office


If you're experiencing issues with Outlook or other Office apps, running a Quick Repair can often resolve the problem without affecting your data.


Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the Run dialog by pressing Windows key + R
  2. Type appwiz.cpl and press Enter
  3. Locate Microsoft Office
  4. Find it in the list (it may appear as “Microsoft 365 Apps”, “Office 2019”, etc.)
  5. Select the application
  6. Right click on the application and select Change.
  7. Another window will open, click on Continue.
  8. Choose repair type
  9. You will see two options:
    1. Quick Repair (recommended first)
    2. Online Repair (more thorough, takes longer)
  10. Select Quick Repair
  11. Start the repair
  12. Click Repair
